CA State Alert (SB-704)

California Senate Bill 704

As of January 01, 2026, Shaw Barrels cannot accept firearm barrel orders (including complete uppers) from individuals (non-FFL) residing in California.  Residents will need to order barrels through a licensed dealer within the state.

If there is a gun shop in California that you regularly deal with, please let them know that we offer a dealer program for barrel purchasing.  All they need to do is register and provide their documentation.

The shipping restriction applies to any made-to-order barrel that has not yet been completed, regardless of purchase date (placed prior to 01/01/2026).  We will need a copy of your drivers license or state issued ID before we can ship to your dealer.

*These new laws do not appear to apply to our receiver rebarreling service, though this could be subject to change as we seek more clarification.*
